Level 1 Coaching Course

Please see attached the application form for the Level 1 coaching course being held at Nottingham Trent University on Sunday 6th, Sunday 13th & Sunday 27th May 2012, 9am – 6pm on each day.

Nottingham Trent University Level One application May 2012

I have managed to secure some funding to subsidise the cost of this course for participants who are a member of a club in Nottinghamshire, instead of £160 the course will cost just £80. In order to maximise this funding, the application process is now open for Nottinghamshire clubs only and will open to the rest of the Country on 31st January.

Please circulate this information to anyone in your club that might be interested in attending the course. They will need to complete the application form and send it back to Elaina Leithead at the Midlands Office with a cheque for £80 made payable to ‘Notts Hockey Schools and Youth’.

  • Applicants must be a minimum of 16 on the first day of the course.
  • In the event of receiving a high number of applications for this course, we may look at limiting the number of participants per club to ensure the funding is spread across the county.
  • If you are wanting to book on the course and belong to a club in Nottinghamshire, you need to send a cheque for the £80 and not the full course cost of £160.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Amy

Rush Hockey – the new game in town!

Research reveals that 84,500 adults would like to play more hockey. There is high demand for a less time consuming format of the game that does not require club membership or commitment to regular training.

Rush Hockey meets these needs.

Rush Hockey is the new, flexible, fun and small sided hockey game for adults. It can be played in mixed or single gender teams, indoors or outdoors and on pitches of varying surfaces and sizes. Teams are 4 or 5 a side with squads of up to 7 players. It is played with a standard hockey stick, but has unique goals and balls. The rules are very simple and the games are self umpired

It’s fast, furious, fun and a great way to get fit!

Rushcliffe Leisure Centre have teamed up with England Hockey to be the first in Nottinghamshire to offer Rush Hockey.

Starting Thursday 5th January 2012 and kicking off at 5:30pm in a pitch up and play league.

For more information on how to secure your place get in touch with Rob Linthwaite on 0115 9234921 or Rushcliffelc@Parkwood-communityLeisure.co.uk to get involved today or contact Amy Carter ACarter@rushcliffe.gov.uk to find out more.
