First Steps into Coaching Workshop – 18 July 2012 – FREE!‏

There are still places left on a local FREE workshop for people wanting to take the first steps into coaching…

18 July 2012, 6.00-8.00pm First Steps into Coaching workshop (FREE)

First Steps into Coaching is a free two hour workshop that sports coach UK have produced with those who have no prior experience of coaching in mind. The workshop will look at the skills you need to be a coach, contain a practical session and also look at your next steps and the support the county can offer). – You can book this place via the website!

Please pass on this information to players/participants, volunteers, parents etc within your clubs and organisations; this is a great first opportunity for budding new coaches to get onto the pathway, free of charge at a local venue before progressing onto level 1 sport specific courses!

The new Nottinghamshire coaching site is now beginning to take shape and can be accessed for booking courses. The site is…

http://www.coachingnottinghamshire.co.uk/

Once you reach the first page, you will need to become a member by logging in on the left hand side (it doesn’t ask for too many details to become signed up!). Once you are a member then you can access courses and book onto them accordingly.

Please get all coaches and volunteers within your clubs/organisations to sign up to this new website (it literally takes about 30secs!). All future workshops and courses will be accessed and booked via this method from September onwards.

If you are experiencing any problems with the site, logging in, accessing workshops etc then please let Pete Forster (Sports Development Officer for Coaching and Workforce) at Notts CC know and he can sort any issues out for you (pete.forster@nottscc.gov.uk / 0115 9774403).

Once the site is fully functioning this will be the place to access all coaching development opportunities for you, your coaches and club, plus you will be able to book all courses and workshops using the online system.

Successfully Reunited!

To the anonymous traveller who posted a found Notts U13 hoodie to me which had been left on a train from Newark to Edinburgh,

You will be pleased to know that it’s owner has been traced and they will be successfully reunited with their top on 11th July.

Their response to me;

“Thank you so much – I though it was lost forever!”

From me to the anonymous traveller – “Thank you very much for your extremely kind gesture.”
